CSDC Legislative Update: Charter School Battle Looms in Legislature Next Week

Just one major charter school issue remains in the last 5 days of the legislative session. Next Friday is the deadline for bills to be sent to the governor before the three-month intersession break. Committee meetings have halted, and the State Assembly and Senate are running marathon floor sessions to act on as many bills as possible before the deadline. Bills that don’t make the cut are not necessarily dead – they can be resuscitated in January when the legislature reconvenes.
