Charter Currents: AB 1505 Charter Renewal Updates

Now more than ever, CSDC advises charter schools to unpack the charter renewal criteria and plan ahead for a strong position with respect to the complex new criteria. Signed into law last October, the criteria provide for sorting of charter schools onto three tracks. AB 1505’s unclear language created questions as to how to interpret and implement its provisions.
